Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for Bulk Cable product development/quotation/extension/existing product maintenance. Ensure that the product design is manufacturable and meet defined customer requirements.
2. Work closely with customer/sales/PM in getting the right and clear VOC (voice of customer), make engineering evaluation/proposal to the VOC.
3. Follow up with company LeanPD process (new development process), conduct the mandatory and optional engineering practices (PRD, QFD, DFMEA, etc.).
4. Leading design review meeting. Engineering documents management and retention.
5. Evaluate and identify the raw material suppliers to meet project cost, quality, volume and timing requirements cooperating with cross-functional team.
6. Lead in resolving the issues down to the closure and manage design & engineering changes.
7. Technical support to customer, conduct necessary test, engineering analysis. Interacts with customers, vendors, marketing and sales personnel, and other engineering areas for working alignment.
8. Hands-on try-out in customer side or lab for getting feasible technical proposal, problem/issues solving, new solutions. Demonstrate company solution with solid samples and prototypes or professional engineering reports with consumer application.
9. Judging manufacturing deviations and make decisions on deviation acceptance.
10. Work with FAI approvals, and 5 WHY analysis.
11. Periodically engineering review and report.
12. Domestic / oversea business travel if needed.
13. Other tasks assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
1.B.S. degree or above majored in electrical / electronic / mechanical engineering or related field is required.
2. At least 5 years of work experience in bulk cable engineering filed; familiar with consumer / data communication cable is preferred.
3. Industry Standards committee knowledge and membership experience is a plus.
4. Experience of management.
5. Good hands-on work experience, willing and keen for hands-on work
6. Knowing well of USB/HDMI/Display Port etc. industrial standard, abundant
experience on USB/HDMI/Display port etc. bulk cable development.
7. Knowledge on high speed SI (Signal Integrity).
8. Knowledge in bulk cable process, for example: extrusion, twisting, taping, cabling, braiding etc.
9. Abundant knowledge in material application on bulk cable.
10. Proficient to use AutoCAD/AutoSketch software.
11. Knowledge in Basic Quality techniques.
