Job Summary: Plans, directs, and coordinates sales strategy to new diverse markets. Leads, coaches, and mentors a team of individuals. Directly and regularly consults with key accounts at an executive level.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Job Requirements:
• Development and implementation of strategic sales plans, explore and define target markets and customers
• Identifies adjacent categories / markets to pursue for exponential growth
• Gathers market intelligence about competitive environment, market shifts, new product development, market trends, and differentiators that may impact value or performance
• Develops go-to-market strategies
• Deploys promotional marketing strategy in conjunction with Byrne marketing
• Coaches and mentors team to achieve sales objectives
• Travels regularly to develop and maintain relationships with customers in order to align on sales strategy and build relationships
• Stay up-to-date on current market trends (competition and market changes)
• Provide sales action plans and feedback
• Work in a hands-on fashion, building the team—provide motivation and inspiration
• Recommend improvements in process, products, services, and all related competitive developments
• Other duties as assigned
Skills/Experience Required:
• 5+ years of experience in a sales management role, preferably in a manufactured products industry
• Experience interacting directly with customers at an executive level
• Strong internal and external personal interaction skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lead level cross-functional teams
• Ability to foster a collaborative environment while keeping team members on task
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities at the same time
• Strong work ethic and personal accountability
• Fluent in Mandarin, English and Cantonese (Written/Spoken)
• Understand western culture and working environment
• Project management experience is a must
• Familiar with office furniture industry or interior design is a plus
• Solid computer skills and awareness of web-based marketing and social media
Education Requirements:
• Must hold a BS in sales or marketing or related field, MBA preferred
