Part 1. Describe the Position
Summary:
Responsible for the engineering duties for shock absorber product , such as new product design, concept proposal, making component and assembly drawings, BOM, engineering changes and other documents, analysis and cost estimations, cost reduction and improvement of the existing products, component or product transfer and localization, technical support to local customers.
Shock absorber or hydraulic press product knowledge will be required.
A) List the essential functions and major activities in order of their importance.
1. Perform product engineering duties, component and assembly drawings, BOM, product system data, engineering changes, other engineering documents etc. with compliance to engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
2. Perform stress analysis, energy calculations, spring design calculations, and application analysis based on customer expectations.
3. Solve product, documentation and quality problems.
4. Cost estimations of product and processes;
5. Perform other engineering duties, such as analysis, FMEA, design review, VBPD, sample making & approval, CPAR, product localization, improvement & cost reduction, RoHS compliance etc.
6. Coordinates assigned activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, costing, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
7. Audit potential suppliers with SCM and QE members.
8. Provide technical support and service (application, quality analysis, maintenance) for local customers.
9. Release engineering files.
Part 2. Describe the Person
A) Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of experience).
1．Education：Bachelor degree or above, major in mechanical related;
2．Year of Experience：5 years minimum;
3. Knowledge:
? Engineering principles and documents
? Materials and processes of shock absorber or hydraulic press, cost structure
? Engineering analysis, DFMEA, flow chart, product specification etc.
? Project management
B) Describe the most important competencies required of the individual.
1. Proficient in use of Creo3.0/Pro-E to create layout, drawings and other engineering documents;
2. Can use the common office software, such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
3. Project management skills.
4. Strong communication skills.
