I. JOB SUMMARY
RFQ for all plastic toolings and parts and make price comparison & analysis as well as some packaging material.
Plus NPI samples follow up.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.Collect quotations and negotiate with supplier for new inquiry from client for all plastic parts and local production tooling.
2.Do price comparison, cost analysis and recommendation on supplier selection towards Project manager, Product engineer and QA staff.
3.New supplier development and audit: Aim at obtaining positive & sustainable relationships with suppliers.
4.Manage the agreed quotation and datasheet with Finance and Purchasing department and update relevant documents in time.
5.Participate in NPI/NPD process.
6.Accurately understand customer requirements and communicate with suppliers accurately and effectively.
7.Ensure supplier quality and follow up material quality issues.
8.Sample sourcing and verifying OQC, IQC reports.
9.Work in liaison between supplier, QA, Engineering (in Foshan) & European colleagues based in Holland.
III. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1.Bachelor degree, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, more than 5 years working experience in a similar position.
2.Knowledge of Plastics, TPE and rubber commodities, Molds & Tooling, Printing & Packaging available technologies.
3.Great analytical competences. Demonstrates cost control capabilities and able to interpret vendor’s offering and true value.
4.Familiarity with the NPI/NPD process, able to work with QA, Product Engineer based in Foshan and Project managers based in Holland.
5.Fluent in English and Mandarin.
6.Strong teamwork spirit, while having capability to be effective/efficient to work independently.
7.Good communication skill and strong negotiation ability.
8.Open-minded and can work under high pressure.
9.Familiar with computer and office software, knowledge of a 3D Design platform is considered as an asset.
